Sliced Beef and Broccoli Teriyaki

This Sliced Beef & Broccoli Teriyaki is a flavorful, Asian-inspired freezer meal made with tender sliced beef, crisp broccoli, and a savory-sweet homemade teriyaki sauce. Packed with garlic, ginger, and a touch of honey, it’s the perfect balance of bold and comforting. Prepped in advance and frozen in a single bag, this meal cooks easily in the crockpot, making dinner effortless. Just add a quick cornstarch slurry at the end to thicken the sauce. Serve over rice or noodles for a satisfying and family-friendly meal that tastes better than takeout!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb Thinly Sliced Beef Steak. we buy ours from Costco to save time
  • 4 C Fresh Broccoli Florets
  • 1 Medium White Onion, Rough Chopped
  • 1 Red Bell Pepper optional for color & sweetness
  • 3 Cloves Garlic, Minced
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Ginger, Grated
  • ½ C low sodium soy sauce or tamari
  • ½ C Teriyaki Sauce or sub with extra soy sauce + 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ C Honey
  • 2 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Cornstarch place in small zip-top bag inside the freezer bag
  • Optional spices:
  • 1 Orange or Green Bell Pepper
  • ½ tsp Crushed Red Pepper
  • 1 tsp Chili Crisp

Instructions
 

Prepare:

  • Label a gallon-size freezer bag with:
    “Sliced Beef & Broccoli Teriyaki”
    (Add cornstarch slurry at end of cooking day)
    Add all ingredients except the cornstarch into the freezer bag.
    Place cornstarch in a separate small bag inside the main bag.
    Seal well, remove excess air, and freeze flat.

Cooking Instructions:

    CROCK POT/ SLOW COOKER

    • From Thawed:
      Dump contents into crockpot.
      Cook on LOW 6–7 hours or HIGH 3–4 hours.
      30 minutes before serving, mix cornstarch with ¼ cup cold water and stir into the crockpot.
      Add broccoli (if using fresh or prefer crisper texture) now instead of earlier.
      Let thicken and finish cooking uncovered for 20–30 minutes.
      From Frozen:
      Run under warm water just enough to loosen the contents.
      Add to crockpot and cook on LOW 7–8 hours or HIGH 4–5 hours.
      Follow steps above to thicken sauce and finish with fresh broccoli if desired.

    Serving instructions:

    • Serve over steamed rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice
      Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions
